A NOT-FOR-PROFIT women's group is launching a new charity cookbook this weekend.
The Bolton Community Cookbook, put together by Women in Neighbourhoods (WiN), will be introduced to the public by chef Nick Cullen at Market Place Shopping Centre on Saturday.
Mr Cullen, who runs the renowned Nick's Restaurant, in Chorley Old Road, will perform a food demonstration and sign copies of the book between 11am and 2pm.
The book is a collection of recipes from residents, community groups and master chefs.
It features contributions from chefs at the Hyatt Regency, food enthusiasts from diverse cultures across Bolton, food bloggers based in Mumbai and Delhi and students of Bolton College.
Gulnaz Brennan, the Founder of WiN, said: "Sharing food can be a very profound experience. It is a simple thing to do and a very enjoyable way to break barriers and open our minds."
Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will help three charities — Urban Outreach, Children Today and Zak Vali Foundation.
Mr Cullen will also be performing demonstrations and signing books at the Market Place Shopping Centre on Monday between 11am and 2pm.
