THE wife of a father-of-two, who died following an horrific crash, has paid tribute to him.
Ian Wilcox, aged 42, of Harwood, died when his Chevrolet Matiz was involved in a collision with a BMW 530 in Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, at 5.15am on Monday.
His wife Cathryn said: “Our world fell apart when Ian, amazing husband, father to two young daughters, loving son, son and brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and firm friend to many was tragically killed in a collision on a busy Bolton road.
"Ian, who loved football, live music, beer and the group Queen, leaves a void that can never be filled.”
Mr Wilcox employer, logistics firm XPO, has also issued a tribute to him.
An XPO spokesperson said: “We are saddened by the news of this tragic accident. Ian joined us two years ago and was a valued colleague at our sites in Leigh and Heywood. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family.”
Police are continuing to urge witnesses to the incident to come forward, particularly anyone with dash cam footage.
