AMIR Khan says he wants to put everything behind him and move forward after a very public spat with wife Faryal.
He said he plans to go San Francisco later this month to start boxing training.
He wrote on his Twitter account: "Putting everything behind me and moving forward. Get back on top with big fights."
It comes after a weekend of drama which unfolded on social media.
On Friday, the Bolton boxer took to Twitter to tell his fans he had split up with his wife of four years.
He wrote: "So me and the wife Faryal have agreed to split. I'm currently in Dubai. Wish her all the best."
He appeared to accuse the 26-year-old of moving on quickly “with another boxer” tagging in fellow fighter Anthony Joshua.
Joshua waded in, writing: “Bantz aside, I hope you guys can resolve your situation or this is a hack as we have never even met!"
A series of tweets then appeared on Faryal's account including: "Accusing other boxers just because your boxing career is finished"
These were later deleted.
Later that evening Amir posted a video on Snapchat to confirm the split.
Posting to his @amirkhanboxer account from Dubai, he told his fans he and Faryal were both going to 'move on', adding he had 'decided to walk away'.
He added: "Nothing's been hacked" and said he was 'not happy with the way I get treated by her'.
But Faryal, mother to their only child — three-year-old Lamaisah — appeared to be baffled by her husband's antics.
She said her husband had not mentioned divorce to her before his explosive Twitter rant.
According to a statement posted on her Snapchat account, the couple had a ‘lovely time in Dubai’ celebrating her 26th birthday.
It states that she thought his account had been hacked as hers had been “genuinely hacked”.
The statement appeared alongside a video of her herself speaking about regrouping and coming back to reality.
Her statement reads: “My account was genuinely hacked and I thought Amir’s was too as he never mentioned a divorce to me and instead went to social media — I was a bit confused.
“This is a private matter in my life that’s blown out of proportion and it’s not right for me as a woman nor my little girl.
“I’m not sure where Amir has got his information from and whether he was under the influence or what was going through his head when he did this.
"But clearly, as many of you may know, I am no cheat. That’s not me and never will be. (Never ever been a story about me in the past, and never will be).
“From today onwards I will not talk about this matter as it’s my marriage and a very touchy/sensitive matter to me."
On a video, she said: “I’ve finally regrouped myself and realised my health is more important than anything.
“I remember telling you guys that I was going through the toughest time of my life and the hardest year.
“Obviously with the fights, operation, drama, all that.
"It was just too much for everyone and especially for us as a couple. Anyway I hope you guys are all ok.
"Back to reality. I have so much work to do."
The Khans did not respond when contacted by The Bolton News.
