AN INQUIRY will be held later this year over plans to demolish a grade II mill.
Last year, councillors granted permission for Arndale Properties to knock down two buildings dating back to 1895 and 1902 at the Beehive Mills, in Great Lever.
However, the final decision on the mill’s future will be made by the government and a six-day inquiry is now scheduled to take place in November.
The inquiry is currently scheduled for November 14.
In granting permission for the buildings to be torn down and 121 houses built in their place, councillors went against the recommendation of planning officers.
