THE new Blackrod Post Office is due to launch later in March with opening hours on Sundays.
The store, which is relocating to the Spar in Black Horse Street, will be open seven days a week from 8am to 10pm, increasing by an extra 52 hours a week.
Services will include special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, bill payment, travel insurance and mobile phone top-ups.
It will launch at 1pm on Friday, March 24 and the current post office in New Street will close at 5.30pm the day before.
Suzanne Richardson, Post Office regional manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office.”
