THIS year the Bolton News is 150 years old, and we want you to help us celebrate our birthday.
We’re asking readers to get in touch with their old copies of the paper and share the stories behind why they kept the edition.
Maybe you kept a copy of the newspaper from the day your child was born. Or perhaps you featured in a story we once ran and have kept a cutting of it ever since?
Do you have an old copy of the paper from a particularly memorable occasion – a Wanderers FA cup win or Royal visit for example?
During one-and-half centuries or printing, we’ve published thousands of photographs. Have you ever featured in one?

We asked for your responses - this is what you sent.
What is your response?I can remember as a 9 year old lad in Bolton, the beginning of my "magic dates" and a kind of non- ending search for more. We didn't have books - or very few - so the daily delivery of the BEN must have meant quite a lot. There was a daily ? article called "Through Cottage Window", always in dialect - tha' nowse , like Halli'th'wood an' so on. This particular date was the twelfth of March 1945. My ' dialectician' simply introduced me to 12345. I have been fascinated ever since with the simple combinations which can be fiddled with. St Patrick's Day yesterday was perhaps a minor one 17 3 17. And so it goes on. On 23 4 56, I know that I was working at De Havilland's on my Business Course, after RAF National Service. I keep searching . Perhaps there are hundreds out there to be associated with an event in life. I can never forget the BEN for that one day.
