DISNEY has been working its magic on one of Bolton's most famous names.
New images have emerged of Sir Ian McKellen in costume for the live action retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
The Hollywood actor is starring as Cogsworth, a servant transformed into a carriage clock as part of a magic spell, in the eagerly anticipated movie due to be released in March.
In the new poster the former Bolton School boy is pictured alongside servant-turned-furnishings - Lumiere the candlestick, played by Ewan McGregor, and Mrs Potts, played by Emma Thompson.
A number of theatrical trailers have been released in the run up, giving audiences a chance to catch a glimpse of McKellen and the all-star in character.
This includes hearing Emma Watson singing for the first time in her role as heroine Belle and Dan Steven's, the former Downton star, as the Beast to her Beauty.
Also featured in the big-name cast are Stanley Tucci, Kevin Kline, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
The movie is directed by Bill Condon and is a live action version of Disney's 1991 animated telling of the story, which promises to feature songs "staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs".
