A TENANT was found dead in his village flat.

Officers from Lancashire Constabulary discovered the body of the 45-year-old man in a property above The Village Pharmacy in Bolton Road, Edgworth, on Tuesday at 4.10pm.

They were called out after friends of the victim had contacted the chemist’s owners – who are the landlords of the apartments – because they had not seen him for a few days and were concerned about his welfare.

A spokeswoman for the force said there were no suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
