MUSIC used to wake up the crew of the final Space Shuttle mission will feature at Bolton Symphony Orchestra’s Autumn Prom.
Fanfare for the Common Man by American composer Aaron Copeland is one of four pieces to feature in the concert at Victoria Hall, on Saturday.
The piece has been the basis for several movie themes, including Superman and Saving Private Ryan. But it also has connection with space missions.
The orchestra will also play the Academic Festival Overture by Brahms, Karelia Suite by Sibelius and Symphony No5 in D Minor by Shostakovich.
Conductor for the evening will be Paul Witkiewicz.
Tickets are £10 for adults and under 19s free of charge. the evening starts at 7.30pm. More details at BoltonSymphony.org.uk.
