A PUB is due to re-open this week after a complete transformation which has created 10 new jobs in Bolton.
The Cotton Kier in Eagley Brook Way closed temporarily on August 15, to begin an extensive refurbishment that will see it re-open as a Hungry Horse pub restaurant on Thursday.
The introduction of the family pub brand will bring a fresh new look to the venue, with a modern colour scheme, booth seating and improved children’s entertainment.
Amanda Blinkhorn, general manager at the Cotton Kier, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be undergoing such a huge transformation.
“The Cotton Kier has always been a popular destination for local families, so we’re pleased to be able to offer even better surroundings for them to get together and enjoy some great food.
“We will also be introducing special extras for kids such as TVs in dining booths and value deals, as well as more live entertainment to make it the go-to destination for the whole family.”
A new menu will also be introduced, with a focus on good value fresh food and larger portions.
Dishes will include chargrilled chicken cooked in a glaze, served with a choice of sides, stone-baked pizzas and an ice cream bar with a selection of 10 different flavours, toppings and sauces.

“The Cotton Kier will continue to offer unbeatable value and We’re confident the investment in a fresh new setting and the introduction of a new menu will bring a welcome change.”
