Alton Towers in Staffordshire
THEME park Alton Towers is warning families not to be tricked by an offer of free tickets circulating on social media.
The Staffordshire-based visitor attraction has been made aware of a Facebook post offering five free tickets to Alton Towers Resort.
An advisory notice on the company's Facebook page says: "This is NOT an official offer or affiliated to Alton Towers Resort in any way.
"Whilst action is taken to remove the scam, we would strongly advise against sharing your details or the post."
