BOLTON School old girl Nikki Reid has commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as an officer in the British Army.
She took part in the Sovereign's Parade, which marks the passing out from Sandhurst of Officer Cadets who have completed the Commissioning Course.
The 44-week course develops the leadership potential of Officer Cadets by expanding their character, intellect and professional skills.
Nikki commissioned into the Royal Artillery, and is now based on Salisbury Plain as a Second Lieutenant.
The evening before the Sovereign’s Parade, Nikki met up with her school friends and fellow Old Girls Bethan Dean, Bethan Faulkner and Emma Morton to celebrate.
Nikki left Bolton School in 2010, but recently returned in 2014 for the Remembrance Service held to mark the Centenary of the end of the First World War.
Then a Lieutenant in the Reserves, she read a poem during the service and afterwards found time to talk to Sixth Formers about her experiences since leaving school.
