A MAN has been charged with the murder of a Bolton man who was reported missing.
Candido Pereira, aged 37, of Chorley New Road, Bolton has been charged with the murder of Darren McMinn.
Police say the body recovered from a reservoir in the early hours of Tuesday is believed to be that of Mr McMinn.
The body was found at Yarrow Reservoir, near Rivington.
In a statement, police said: "A Home Office post-mortem examination is ongoing and the man has not been formally identified, however, police believe the body is that of 48-year-old Darren McMinn from Bolton, and his next of kin have been informed."
Two men aged 34 and 29 arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed pending further police enquiries.
Pereira is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates' Court today.
