TRAIN passengers from Bolton suffered problems getting into central Manchester during the morning rush hour yesterday.
Northern Rail said a technical fault on its Clitheroe to Manchester Victoria service had a knock-on effect its timetable on Wednesday morning.
A spokeswoman said: "The fault was rectified but then this service and the one after it became held up by a late running freight service."
The services delayed were the 6.45am and the 07.05am Clitheroe to Manchester Victoria services while the 10.46am Clitheroe to Manchester Victoria train was cancelled.
