KIND hearted Elizabeth Keiller said goodbye to her long locks so it could be made into wigs for children undergoing chemotherapy.
The 10-year-old from Westhoughton donated 14 inches of her ‘do’ to the Little Princess Trust charity, after getting her hair cut on Saturday afternoon at Nicola Harvey in Atherton.
Elizabeth smashed her fundraising target of £350, eventually raising £791 – £958 including gift aid donations.
The youngster wanted to raise awareness for the charity after a conversation about a family friend who had cancer.
The Year Six student was supported by headteacher, Mark John's, staff and pupils at St Bartholomew’s, Westhoughton.
People can donate to Elizabeth’s appeal by visiting www.btplc.com/mydonate and searching for ‘Elizabeth Keiller’ under the ‘Sponsor a fundraiser’ section.
