DAISY Hill suffered late heartbreak as they were dumped out of the Reusch First Division Cup.
Colin McDonald put visitors Litherland REMYCA two minutes after the break but Craig Naylor put the home side back on level terms just after the hour mark.
But McDonald popped up with his second of the match in the final minute to knock Daisy out of the competition at the second round stage.
There was also disappointment for Atherton LR, who went out of the cup after losing 3-1 at Rochdale Town.
Craig Dickinson pulled one back for LR midway through the first half after they conceded two early goals, but the home side increased their advantage with 15 minutes to play to secure their place in the third round.
Atherton Collieries’ North West Counties Premier Division match at AFC Blackpool was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
