BOLTON singer Danny Jones proved his rock star credentials in traditional fashion during the launch of a new computer game – by throwing a television out a window.

The Bromley Cross McFly axe man took a leaf out of Keith Moon’s book by hurling the set from the first floor at the launch of Guitar Hero Live.

The game, which allows players to groove along to popular songs on a simplified six string, was unveiled at London’s Truman Brewery on Thursday, October 22.

Danny, who also plays in McFly/Busted supergroup, McBusted, joined celebrities including I’m a Celebrity presenter, Laura Whitmore, to recreate the infamous episode from rock-lore.

Legend has it that notorious Who drummer, Keith Moon, was so fond of destroying hotel rooms that he once asked a limo driver to return to his digs from the previous evening, where the famed party animal promptly ran upstairs and sent a TV set crashing through the window and into the street below.

Given the apparent glee with which Jones dispatched his TV set, we’re not sure whether Turton Sports Centre might need a heads-up – another oft-debated Moon myth alleges that the wildman once wrote off a Rolls Royce by driving it into a swimming pool.
