APPRENTICE Abbie Murphy is determined to make her first job at UCAN in Tonge Moor Road a huge success.

Abbie, 18, from Harwood, is organising a Macmillan coffee morning on Friday, September 25, at the centre, and is inviting as many people as possible.

She said: "It is my first job and I am organising it with colleague Barbara Burton and we want it to be a great success."

Abbie has already managed to get lots of tombola prizes including wine and food vouchers, a free gym membership and flowers from nearby businesses.

She and Barbara will be making the teas and coffees from 10.30am to 12.40pm.
