HASEEB Hameed says he felt comfortable during his debut innings of 28 for Lancashire today.
The 18-year-old Boltonian opened the batting during the opening day of the Red Rose side’s LV= County Championship match against Glamorgan at Emirates Old Trafford.
“I didn’t feel as if it was any different from anything I had faced before,” he admitted, as he helped Lancs to 161-3 at the close of play.
“At second team level, you can face some very good attacks and also at England Under-19s level.
“I didn’t feel out of place, I felt comfortable at the crease.
"There were a few nerves, and it was a big occasion because a debut is a really big moment for anyone in their career.”
