SCORES of people visited Bolton’s first artisan market to browse a wide selection of stalls.
The market, which hosted 20 stalls, was held for the first time on Sunday at Heaton Fold Garden Centre, in Overdale Drive, and attracted visitors from all over Bolton.
Stalls were kept busy throughout the day selling Mediterranean food, spices, beers, bath soaps, clothing, furniture and chocolate.
Organiser, Brian Hood, of Signature Soaps, said: “It’s been very, very successful. It’s gone extremely well and been extremely well attended.
“The stalls marry beautifully with the flowers at the garden centre and it’s been a lovely day.”
Chefs entertained customers with demonstrations throughout the day, giving examples of how the market’s food can be cooked.
The market will run on the third Sunday of every month from 10am to 4pm.
