AN EASTER "eggs-travaganza" got under way at the weekend as Bolton's two historic halls kick-started their summer season.
Visitors to Smithills Hall and Hall i' th' Wood Museum have the chance to claim an Easter prize by completing bunny trails which began on Sunday and run until April 15.
Hall i' th' Wood is also offering the Hooter the History Hound trail, while a new Mystery Mouse trail has been developed at Smithills.
A series of mice have been hidden around the building, which intrepid hunters must find to answer the clues.
A £7.50 family discount ticket offers entry to both museums for two adults and up to four children. Entry for under-fives is free.
Both halls open from 12pm to 5pm. Hall i' th' Wood Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, and Smithills Hall will be open between Tuesday and Friday and also on Sundays.
They are both open on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
