Amir Khan has been named as the Lancashire Association of Clubs for Young People's young ambassador of the year.
The Bolton boxer's duties will start on April 11 with a visit to Burnley Boys' Club.
Alan Donkin, the association's county director, said: "We're delighted that Amir has agreed to give his free time to promote the good work and many opportunities available to young people through our network of voluntary clubs in Lancashire. He is an excellent role model, who himself was a member of Bolton Lads and Girls Club and knows all about how a good club for young people can make a difference."
