Andy Murray will join up with the rest of the Great Britain Davis Cup squad in Birmingham today after allaying fears that a groin injury could put his participation in the tie in doubt.
The 19-year-old Scot trained at Roehampton after returning from the United States, where he slid to an embarrassing 6-1 6-0 Sony Ericsson Open semi-final defeat to Novak Djokovic.
Although Murray refused to make excuses for the most comprehensive defeat of his professional career, it was clear the injury he sustained the previous week in Indian Wells was troubling him again.
And it threatened to throw Davis Cup captain John Lloyd's plans into disarray ahead of the crucial Europe/Africa Zone Group One clash with Holland, which begins in Birmingham on Friday.
