TURTON FC have been granted an appeal into the decision by West Lancashire League officials to deny them promotion to the Premier Division.
The Thomason Fold club, who finished in the promotion places in Division One, launched a petition to force a hearing after failing to meet a ground improvement deadline of March 31.
There have been nearly 3,000 signatures supporting their bid to get the decision over-turned, with high-profile football figures such as Sam Allardyce and Bury boss David Flitcroft backing the Tigers.
Officials from the Lancashire FA and the West Lancashire League will hear the appeal on the week commencing June 15.
