A TEENAGER will stand trial for murder after the stabbing of 30-year-old Keith Platt in Bolton.
Richard Knott, aged 19, of Masefield Drive, New Bury, is to appear at Manchester Crown Court on June 14. A trial date has been fixed for September 10.
Daniel Walmsley, aged 20, of Buckley Lane, Farnworth, who is charged with violent disorder and two counts of assault, will stand trial with Knott.
Mr Platt, of Grosvenor Street, Kearsley, was found with stab wounds in Church Road, Farnworth, on Friday, March 16. He died in hospital.
