A RINGTONE of a song written by a Bolton busker is now available for download straight to mobile phones.
And all profits from the sale of Bolton Town will go to the Garden of Tranquillity appeal, to transform the gardens at Bolton Hospice.
Written by singer-songwriter Nick Bold, the tune has attracted so many hits on our website that organisers at the Reebok Stadium have bowed to public pressure and agreed to play the song and video on the big screen at half-time during Saturday's Wanderers match against Sheffield United.
The song, which Nick performs with bandmate Linda Jennings, pays tribute to many of Bolton's heroes, past and present, including Fred Dibnah, Nat Lofthouse and Peter Kay, as well as the ordinary people who make the town great.
- To download the song as a ringtone, text Bolton News Busker to 88010. Calls cost £1 plus normal network charges. Service provided by Newsquest Media Group. Phones must be WAP, GPRS or 3G. compatible.
