Fresh evidence of the skills shortage hitting UK industry has been revealed in a new report that shows two out of five firms are struggling to recruit suitably qualified workers.
A survey of 1,800 companies, conducted by employment firm Manpower, showed a particular shortage of skilled manual workers, engineers and sales reps.
The study also showed that managers and executives are harder to find than a year ago.
