ASTLEY and Tyldesley, Blackrod, Bury and Little Hulton all continued their 100 per cent start to the Bolton Association Cricket League on Saturday.

Nekoli Parris led Little Hulton to victory against Worsley scoring 80, which along with Brian Kelly’s 38, set a total of 208 – despite the effort of Schaughn Van Greunen (3-55) to cap the score.

Dan Henshaw struck a half-century in reply, but it failed to provide the springboard for a full recovery as they were bowled out for 175, with Parris taking 4-64.

Travis Wordsworth scored 70 not out as Astley and Tyldesley defeated Winton by seven wickets.

Winton opened the batting and Will Driver top-scored with 67no. Jordan O'Malley bowled 3-25 and Paul Bennett took 3-38 as they posted a respectable 150-7.

Hemant Patel (38) added to Wordsworth’s unbeaten 70 to claim the victory, finishing on 153-7.

Blackrod recorded a comfortable seven-wicket victory against Lostock.

Joe Speak, Thusendra de Zoysa and Steven Ashworth all took three wickets each as Lostock were dismissed for 81.

Chris Anderson scored 33no as Blackrod replied with seven wickets to spare.

Bury survived an early scare to beat Standish by 42 runs.

Ben Downling (3-25) took both openers instantly and Sam Heeley (4-38) bowled pro Ashen Silva. But a steady batting line-up, anchored by Irfan Rana (48), set a total of 133.

Standish captain Heeley scored 40 when he turned to the bat, but brilliant bowling by Neil Tong (4-21) and Silva (3-12) halted a recovery as they totalled 91 all out.

Darcy Lever defeated Daisy Hill by five wickets.

James Mann struck 24 as Dominic Gavin (3-30) and Ather Abid (3-18) limited Daisy to just 97-7.

Abid turned his hand to the bat and scored 28 as Darcy racked up 100-5 in under 26 overs. Stephen Hodgkinson was the only notable bowler taking 4-43.

Ashley Williams (80), Brett Ernst (65) and Dave Gornall (40) helped Edgworth rack up 225-8 against Flixton – with Adrian Holmes taking 5-49.

In reply Luke Perry hit 74 and Holmes added 75, but they fell one run short when they reached the end of their 48 overs – finishing on 224-7.

Toby Leeds (5-54) and Kevin Brace (3-9) impressed with the ball as Westleigh suffered defeat against Golborne.

Golborne were bowled out for 148 – Rizwan Hussain top-scoring with 31.

Leeds then scored 31 runs himself but the bowling of Nasir Mehmood (3-44) limited the damage and Westleigh fell six-runs short at the end of their 40 overs.

Walshaw recorded their first win of the season against Adlington.

Zak Millington top-scored with 69 for Adlington as they finished on 202-9 – Liam Riley the most notable bowler taking 5-61.

And Darren Foy led the reply scoring 91no, with Jack McClung adding 40 to a total of 203-6 to wrap up a four-wicket victory.

James Wade scored 61no as Swinton Moorside cruised to a nine-wicket victory against Atherton.

Jamar Griffith hit 42, but the brilliant bowling of Dean Atkinson (3-19) and Jake Brown (4-32) dismissed Atherton for 110.

And Wade set the hosts well on their way to victory inside 16 overs, finishing on 111-1.
