A CAR used in a robbery at a bank in Bury was stolen the day before, police have said.
About four men smashed down the front door of the Bradford and Bingley bank in Market Street using a sledgehammer at 9am on Tuesday.
Seven employees ran out of the back of the building as the balaclava-clad robbers grabbed a large quantity of cash and escapd in a silver Honda Civic Type R car.
Shortly after it sped off, the car ran over a woman's foot as she was crossing the road. She was taken to Fairfield Hospital for treatment.
The car, stolen from Culcheth in Cheshire the previous day, was found abandoned in a car park in Manchester Old Road, Bury.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them on 0161 856 8248 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
