Band name: Bigfoot
Members:
Matt Avery (bass), Ant Ellis (vocals), Tom Aspinall (drums), Sam Millar (guitar) and Mick McCullagh (guitar)
What is your sound and who are your influences?
If you could class us as something it would probably come under hard rock. A lot of our influences come from bands like Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and Black Sabbath but we are big fans of bands like The Eagles and Prince so take some bits of inspiration from all over the place.
What is the biggest gig you have played to date?
Probably our biggest gig to date was at Brighton’s Breakout Festival which was headlined by Skindred and Funeral for a Friend. We played the second stage to around 600 people.
If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional?
We all aspire to be professional musicians. This is what we have been doing all our lives and, in some ways, it’s all we know. That’s why we put the band together, to get a bunch of people together who were really serious about trying to make something of the passion we all have for music.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully we’ll have made something of what we’re doing that people can enjoy as much as we enjoy it and we can play the gigs and festivals that we’ve always dreamed of playing.
Is there anything unusual or interesting about the band?
We have two lead guitarists which always interests guitar fans. Our stage show is very energetic and raw and Ant doesn’t stop performing from start to finish. There seems to be a very good chemistry on stage with us that hopefully comes across on stage. Come see us live and you’ll see what we’re all about.
