TV Castaway Erica Hurst has formed a close bond with the newest addition to the island.
Viewers of last night's BBC 3 reality show saw the 22-year-old from, Kearsley, welcoming Daisy the cow on to New Zealand's Great Barrier Island, where she and fellow contestants are hoping to complete a 12-week stay.
The former lap dancer pitched-in to create a cowshed for the newcomer. When it was finished, newlywed, Erica - who married husband, Matt, in Las Vegas seven weeks ago - had the honour of leading her over the threshold.
The BBC announced on Monday that is to axe Castaway's primetime Sunday evening slot, on BBC1, after ratings plummeted by millions of viewers. We are now giving our readers the chance to decide whether to keep Erica Watch.
