Standish Cricket Club have signed Pakistan international, Bazid Khan, as their professional for the new season which gets underway at the end of next month.
Khan, the nephew of Pakistan cricket legend, Imran Khan, replaces Glen Batticciotto who had a successful spell with the Wigan club.
Khan was also successful the last time he played in the Bolton Association, with Astley and Tyldesley, since when he has played Test matches and one-day internationals for his country.
He is currently contracted to the Pakistan Cricket Board and will begin his duties with Standish when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Standish are also looking for a coach and opening bowler for next season. Anybody interested can contact first team captain, Nigel Geary, on 07921 935304.
