POLICE are investigating reports of youths taking bins from streets near Farnworth Market and setting fire to them.

A spate of incidents were reported over the Easter weekend, with the young people setting fire to them and other materials causing the fire brigade and police to attend.

A police spokesman said: "This obviously is extremely dangerous and we would like to ask residents to bring in your bins following collections.
