TV brain box Anne Hegerty will be taking time out from her busy filming schedule to officially open Smithills and Heaton Conservative Club's new function room.
Anne, best known for her appearances on TV quiz show The Chase, also takes part in a Bolton quiz league and will officially open the club's refurbished room, which has been renamed the New Barn Suite.
The room, which dates back to the 1900s, has been closed since October last year while the refurbishment work was been completed, at a cost of more than £40,000, and will be open to the public on Saturday, April 18.
Secretary Pam Parish said: "We hope the function room will appeal to the local community, who would like somewhere local, stylish and very reasonably priced to hold their family functions.
"We also plan to have regular entertainment several times a month from a variety of musical acts, and again hope to attract the local community."
The opening will also have a raffle with proceeds going to Bolton Hospice as well as entertainment from singer Brendan Decko.
