A VIOLENT man was ordered to pay £100 compensation to his ex-partner after grabbing her by the throat and throwing her out of her home.
Kieran Burrows claimed Sarah Brooks had tripped and fallen out of the house during the argument on December 10 last year.
Burrows, aged 23, of Dunsop Drive, Johnson Fold, was convicted of assault after a trial at Bolton Magistrates' Court.
The court heard Miss Brooks suffered a sore neck.
Miss Brooks told police it was not the first time she had been assaulted by Burrows and that his violence and mood swings were affecting his three children.
The court heard Burrows suffered from suicidal tendencies and had a previous conviction for affray which involved threatening Miss Brooks.
Magistrates placed Burrows on a two-year supervision order and imposed a home curfew between 9pm and 7am. He was also ordered to pay £150 costs.
