FORMER Stands frontman Howie Payne will play at the Soundhouse on Friday.
After the highly successful, Mersey-beat influenced band split in 2005, Payne launched an acclaimed solo career.
Despite retaining some Mersey influence, Payne clearly also dug out his old Johnny Cash records for songs such as Who Else Gonna Save Me?
Support will come from local acts The Geoffs, Penny Blacks, Flying Monkey Fist and High Class Hookers.
Doors will open at 8pm. Admission £5. Tickets can be bought from the Albert Halls box office or by ringing 01204 334400.
