Police are hunting a driver who deliberately hit several cars - wrecking two completely - in Leigh.
The white van was driven into a number of cars on and around Lorne Road yesterday morning.
Seven stationary cars were damaged and at least two suffered irreparable damage as a result.
The van failed to stop at the scene of these collisions and continued onto Kirkless Drive, where it damaged at least one other parked car.
When officers arrived at the scene they discovered the offending van had been abandoned nearby on Gordon Street.
The van is a white Ford Transit with the registration number FLO2 BVM. Officers believe that it may have been recently stolen, and would like to appeal to the owner to contact them, if they have not already reported the theft.
Police are also appealing to anybody who may have seen this van driving around Leigh, especially in the Lorne Road area, to contact them as soon as possible, so they can begin to trace the driver.
At this stage it does not appear anybody was injured during this series of collisions, but a great deal of damage has been caused.
Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the road policing unit on 0161 856 7201
