A FINE concert brought the curtain down on a memorable week of muscial performances last night.
Hundreds of people attended Bolton Music Service's five performances, which featured youngsters from across the borough.
Jane Hampson, head of the service, said the atmosphere at the Albert Halls added to the magic.
"The children have really enjoyed playing in such a prestigious venue," she said.
"Some of them would never have dreamed of playing in a venue like this and they have been so excited.
"The Albert Halls staff have been very helpful and accommodating throughout the week."
Last night's show included works by Bolton Saxophone Ensemble and Youth Clarinet Choir, along with string and percussion ensembles and choirs.
Mrs Hampson said: "This really has been one of my favourite-ever weeks because the standard has risen and I'm so pleased with the youngsters' work."
