THE chairman of Warburtons will reveal how he has helped the family business become a leading national brand at a business seminar next month.
Jonathan Warburton is the guest speaker in the next of a series of Business Partnership lectures at the Bolton Ramada Hotel, Blackrod.
The lecture series features influential and successful figures from the North-west's business community and offers a fascinating insight into what makes the region's leading businesses so successful.
Formed in Bolton by brothers George and Thomas Warburton in 1876, Warburtons is today the UK's largest independent baking business and employs more than 4,230 people at 13 bakeries and 10 depots across the country.
It produces more than two million Warburtons bakery products every day.
Tricia Conway, of the Business Partnership, said: "Jonathan only became chairman six years ago, but during his time at the top the company has flourished.
"He has helped the company become one of the most recognised national brands, during which time the number of Warburtons' bakeries and distribution sites have grown by more than 40 per cent.
"We are absolutely delighted to have him as our guest speaker and I am sure his story will offer our audience some fascinating insights."
The meeting will start, at the Ramada Hotel, at 6.30pm on Thursday, April 19.
It is free to attend, but numbers are strictly limited. To reserve your place, or to find out further details about the forthcoming lecture series, contact Tricia Calway.
