VOLUNTEERS are being recruited to work with young offenders.
The independent monitoring board at Hindley Prison is looking to increase membership numbers.
Currently, there are 16 board members, aged from mid-20s to mid-70s, who work to protect the welfare of prisoners and detainees.
Member Agnes Lloyd-Holt said: "We are looking for intelligent, caring people who are interested in protecting others' welfare, to join us or other boards."
