A SPECIALIST training company is celebrating after finding jobs for more than 100 people in its first seven months of operating in Bolton.
TNG, which employs 16 people in the Beehive Works in Folds Lane, Bolton, was awarded a Government contract through Jobcentre Plus in July.
The company mentors unemployed people and helps them overcome personal and professional problems.
Michelle Hargreaves, manager at TNG, said: "One of our main roles is to help people to be receptive to learning new skills.
"That can mean offering training or just boosting their confidence."
TNG works with unemployed people, referred to them by Jobcentre Plus, who have been out of work for at least six months.
The company has found permanent jobs for 100 people since July and has set itself a target of 150 before its first birthday.
Kevan Moreton, aged 33, from Great Lever, is one of the biggest success stories so far. He was looking for a job in construction and was put on a training course but impressed so much that TNG gave him a job as a teacher.
Mrs Hargreaves said: "It's rewarding every time we get someone into work, but this case is especially satisfying. Hopefully we can have many more success stories like Kevan."
Established in 1983, TNG operates private sector and Government contracts across the UK.
