THEY have been described as "camp S&M cabaret" so it will be interesting to see what Bolton makes of Condor Moments when they play at the Dog and Partridge on Friday.

Certainly their sick senses of humour will endear them to anyone whose tastes run against the mundane.

Claiming influences including Mr Bungle, pianist Richard Clayderman (their website describes them as "the sound of Richard Clayderman slaying his own children") and Deus, the Fylde gang are known for building their reputation on live shows rather than a new-fangled "internet presence."

It means that while the levels of hype surrounding them are low, the creativity and skill have been honed to a sharp point.

As much about punk rock as they are about tongue-in-cheek artsiness, Condor Moments released an album last year titled "..And Though We're Told We've Got It All, The All We've Got Is Freezing Cold."

For more information, visit their MySpace site, www.myspace.com/condormoments.

Admission costs £2. T.R.A.S.H DJs will also be playing.
