A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged with murder following the stabbing of a 30-year-old man in Bolton.
Richard Knott, aged 19, of Masefield Drive, New Bury, spoke only to confirm his name and age at Bolton Magistrates todayy.
Daniel Walmsley, aged 20, of Buckley Lane, Farnworth, also appeared, charged with violent disorder and two counts of assault.
Keith Platt, of Grosvenor Street, Kearsley, was found with stab wounds in Church Road, Farnworth, on Friday night and later died in hospital.
Mr Platt was discovered by police officers on patrol late on Friday night.
Knott and Walmsley have been remanded into police custody until March 28 when they will appear at Manchester Crown Court.
An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of his murder has been released on police bail.
