BOLTON Golf Association stalwart Jack Arrowsmith has died, aged 92.
He was a key figure in the organisation for many years serving as secretary from more than a decade before serving as President in 1990 and 1991.
Mr Arrowsmith, who leaves a daughter, was a member at Chorley where he was both a past captain and president and was captain of the Bolton Captains' Society in 1976 A seven handicap golfer at his peak, he was was still an active golfer until recently, having played in many octagenarian events throughout the country.
A service and interment will be held at Ainsworth Parish Church on Tuesday at 1.30pm.
