ANOTHER opportunity has arisen for budding thespians to get involved in Bolton's thriving amateur theatre scene.
The next play from the award-winning Farnworth Performing Arts Company's will be Find The Lady by Michael Pertwee. It is comedy mystery, with the emphasis on comedy.
The leading lady is an hotel proprietress with a liking for the liquor, and the basic plot is that there has been a murder - or has there?- and someone has seen a body - or have they?
Sharron Knott, FPAC's Drama Co-ordinator said: "To attract new members to the society we are holding open auditions and anyone is welcome to attend. There is no need to pay membership before auditioning.
"The auditions will be two informal readings of the play-we all sit round the table, with scripts, and the director will ask individuals to read the parts of the various characters. Anyone interested should ideally attend both readings."
The readings will be at 8pm tomorrow, Wednesday, March 21, at St. Johns School, Church Road, Farnworth, and again on Wednesday March 28 at 8pm at Bolton Cricket Club, Green Lane, Bolton.
There is likely to be a shorter, third reading on April 11 or 18.
The play will be presented at Farnworth Little Theatre from Tuesday June 26 to Saturday June 30. Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays in May, plus Sundays in June.
Sharron added: "The first rehearsal is straight after we finish Annie Get Your Gun on Monday April 30."
