BOLTON-EAST MP Dr Brian Iddon has signed an early day motion calling on Parliament to support the work of a charity that is urging people to give up smoking.
The No Smoking Day charity has been encouraging people to stub it out since 1984.
Dr Iddon said: "There are around 12 million smokers in the UK and statistics show 70 per cent of them would like to give up. It's important the support is there for them to do so."
