MUSICAL stars of the future gathered at the Albert Halls last night for the start of Bolton Music Centre's annual concert week.
A large opening night audience was entertained to an array of musical styles from the borough's best young musicians.
The town's junior brass band, choir, harmony group and orchestra performed, along with the intermediate concert band, the Lads A Cappella' group and Westhoughton Urban Beat and Vocal Group.
A total of 40 ensembles will perform at the five nightly concerts, ending on Thursday.
Tonight's performance includes Bolton's beginner and junior percussion ensembles, the training strings group, intermediate brass band, urban music project, the youth string quartet and youth concert band. It will be opened by pupils from Johnson Fold Primary School performing some African rhythms.
