Remember those lucky bags you'd get when you were a kid?
You never knew what would be in them - it could be something great, or it could be yet another flaming pencil sharpener. The excitement and anticipation was sometimes too much to bear.
Well at least 50 per cent of Saturday night's gig at the Dog and Partridge will be like that, as two of the four bands of the bill - The Buddhas of Bamiyan and Michael Travis Cocker - haven't deigned to grace their MySpace sites with their songs, instead maintaining an enigma-like presence.
Only one way to find out what they sound like then, and that's to get down there.
We can, however, tell you that it'll be well worth the two quid entry fee for headliner, The Stranger Son of WB, alone.
And we can't repeat many of the words that Chunk use to describe themselves here, but at least visit them online - www.myspace.com/chunkspace - their personal quote alone should endear them to you.
BachSide promotions present The Night The Mirth Stood Still, tomorrow, 8pm, The Dog and Partridge. Admission £2/£1 with flyer.
