Heralded as the creator of the survival horror title, this fourth instalment has ported from PS2 to PC for your desktop delectation.
Taking place years after the T-virus outbreak, you move through the game as Special Agent Leon S Kennedy, on a top secret investigation into the abduction of the President's daughter, which has led him to a mysterious location in Europe. And there lies a whole new set of horrors to contend with, with the emphasis very much on third-person shooter action than plodding puzzles.
An intuitive camera system means you won't miss a trick, and enhanced enemy AI make this a serious challenge, even for Resident Evil regulars. It's gruesome, gory and a snip at under 20 quid.
