On the face of it, The Con looks like any 3D fighting game. But that would be underestimating this title.
For there is an interesting twist. The combat involves you staying in one spot and trying to duck out of trouble and defend. You have to bet on these battles - and you don't have to back yourself to win.
The action can become a little samey - there's a lot of fighting involved and there's not much variety between bouts. The presentation can be a bit iffy too. But the betting is a big draw and easily pulls you in, making for an enjoyable title. 4/5
